It has something to do with cars, in a way. I'll explain below.

I'm a tennis player and I played varsity in high school; my college has just started a team that I wanted to join; unfortunately, I really let myself go over the last year; focusing my time on studying and not giving myself any time to hit the gym and workout. Because of that I didn't feel comfortable playing on a college team while not being able to perform to my best ability.

And that's why for the rest of this year and for as long as I can, I've created a cardio-intensive fitness plan that I have called: K-Roll's Because Racecar plan!

Kinja'd!!!

The goal, to eat healthier, loose some weight and get back in shape! To put this into a car-relevant perspective, I'm gonna change myself from a regular 911 into a Carrera 2.7 RS Lightweight! :)

Kinja'd!!!

So today, I began this plan by running 1.1 miles to the local Target to buy some earbuds and an armband that you see in the lead pic to make running more enjoyable.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Surprised that I did this without stopping, I decided to treat myself to a Hot Wheels, so I bought what is now my second favorite one: this 1971 Doge Challenger 340 Six Pak!!

Kinja'd!!!

My favorite is a 993 GT2 that was given to me in a trade by a fellow Oppo while I was sick a couple months back. I then ran back home without stopping for a total run of 2.2 miles! Damn does it feel good to be exercising again! :)

Nice, adding power and losing weight is a good way to reason exercising. I'm gonna think in those terms from now on.

By the way, what if I told you that Challenger is a replica of an actual Hotchkis demo car?

Kinja'd!!!

It was even offered for sale on their website a while ago.

Running is awesome. I've had to substitute biking for running due to joint issues, but excersize is still fantastic.

For out-of-shape-but-not-too-out-of-shape-people, I reccomend what I like to call "The Freebird Workout".

1. Play Freebird

2. Begin running at a brisk pace. But not too brisk.

3. When the solo begins, turn around and run back.

Your goal is to return to your starting point before the song ends.

For sure! Unfortunately, I no longer have a bike, and I don't want to shell out ze cash monies to get another one; so running is my best alternative. That, and stairs and elliptical.

Good luck!

BTW, if you're mainly looking to cut weight, the easiest way is diet, and the best way to do that is to cut back on portion sizes & carbs. The cardio is just icing on the cake.

I'm trying to figure out what to eat for dinner now. I haven't a clue. I need something filling and delicious with little carbs...

I lost 30lbs I only eat fruit meat and vegetables no junk food or ice cream, I also go running with my dog. Another thing that works is sweat to lose water weight. lie in bed for 3 hours with a crazy amount of covers on so it is un comfortably hot. You will sweat off a good amount of weight if done daily.

Pick a lean protein, pick a vegetable, the end. Also, the vegetable can't be carrots. Too much sugar.

Do you have gmail? If so, I have the entire Insanity workout set on my google drive. I can add you if you want.

I'd like that. Does this workout require any tools, accessories, equipment or anything of the sorts? And can it be transferred to my TV? My computer space is very small.

Obviously both of those suggestions are good, but if you add in some weightlifting you will lose weight even faster. Just a suggestion. Good luck K-Roll!

No — their other series, P90X, needs bands and small weights but Insanity is body-weight only. And the warm up will kill you.

Do you have a media server or anything? The whole set is like 7GB.

7GB! Wow that's a lot. I don't have a media server though; is that somewhat similar to mediafire or something?

Like a standalone harddrive / computer hooked to the TV, so you can play shit on your TV.

Should be able to do that, assuming you've got 7GB free on your computer and a cable to connect it to your TV.

Hey, now. All that exercise helps with racecarin', too. Especially in the upper body and core. I've been working hard at getting that back together lately, too.

Huh. I should write about that. 'k.

I have better luck with group workouts. I have to make a certain time, because it's on my schedule, so I go. Regularly. Instead of procrastinate it away "Ohhh, after this article...just one more Puff picture......zomg 944 burnouts, uh, after this. I'mma fart off at the track now. After that."

Kinja'd!!! K-Roll-PorscheTamer > Stef Schrader

Kinja'd!!!0

Sounds like a plan to me!

I find it much better to work out in a group rather than doing it alone.

Procrastination is definitely one of those things that has held me back. And writing articles to please the masses might be taking more time than I'll admit..

"Oi! I must write one more article/thread on the Porsches, and then just one moar 911 pic, and omg 944 fun time and Focus ST POWERRRRR!!! Must go for drive! And after this, I shall go watch many Top Gear episodes and phrrt while I'm at it." :P

We're on ze same page here, aren't we.
